We live in Maramarua New Zealand. On our website - you will find histories and details of the number of families all connecting back to England (some of the very earliest settlers to NZ first visited by PUCKEYs in 1799 to collect Kauri spars for the Napoleonic Wars back home - on the "Fancy" from Thames - Hauraki Gulf then being settled by PUCKEYs in 1811 in the North.) who came from Fowey. The ROWLAND grandfather arrived in Wellington in 1905/6 believed to have come from Poundstock whom we are interested in researching. Other pages found on our website include the PYLE, WHITE, SUSTINS, MULDROCK & SHALDERS families all originating from the South of England. We have been researchers and collectors for more than 40 years of postal history & memorabilia. (Much of this material is being added to our website over time) Our website is approximately 150+ pages (web pages)of our own work and information we have assembled or authorised to show by others that we have associated with. There are NZ Railway Post Offices history plus scans of photos & postcards. We have collected/exhibitioned and researched NZ / Pacific & Antarctica Postal History, airmail, Banknotes etc and at present concentrating on thematic 'Trains on Banknotes, Kingfishers as a thematic collection. |
