I was born in Rochdale, Lancashire,
England in 1932. My wife Marjorie & I, along with son
Stuart Thomas migrated to Australia in 1966. Our daughter
Joanne Sherran was born here in Australia. We have three
grandchildren. We live in Huntfield Heights which is a
suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. I am now retired & my main hobby is family history. My WALLIS ancestors were in Cornwall from at least 1520 through 1878 when my great grandfather Thomas WALLIS & his wife Eliza (nee ROWE) left Redruth & travelled to Rochdale, Lancashire, where he carried on his trade as a shoemaker, along with his brother Samuel. |
