Nick Serpell

I was born and brought up in Cornwall but currently live in London. I am
journalist with BBC Television. Apart from researching my family history I
am a keen follower of rugby and, despite being in exile, still produce the
match programmes for Redruth RFC http://www.redruthrfc.com/.

Another cause near and dear to me is greater autonomy for Cornwall, this is one of the goals of Mebyon Kernow. http://www.mebyonkernow.org/

I am researching the SERPELL family who first appear in St Dominick in the
16th century. They are found in various Cornish parishes including
Liskeard, Duloe, Menheniot, St Sampson, St Veep, Talland, Looe, Morval,
Illogan, Sheviock and Lanreath. There are variations on the spellings
including SURPLE, SIRPEL, SERPLE.
