I live in O'Halloran Hill, a
southern foothills suburb of Adelaide, Australia, with my
wife, Biruta (PUSPURS, Latvian origins). My older son
Jamie Hamilton lives close by with his wife Deena
(KIMBERLEY) and their daughters Eloise and Erin. My
younger son Stuart Cameron lives in Holland with his wife
Judith and their son Stuart Clement. I have been interested in my family history since my early memories of my maternal grandfather's yarns and researching pretty keenly for two years since I retired. Some of my origins are in Cornwall. In my line of 32 I have William THOMPSON born 1832, St. Marys, Scilly, his wife Caroline EDWARDS born 1833, Gillingham, Kent.Thomas BARNES, born 1817, Paul. Wilmot OSBORNE, born 1831 Hayle. That line of 32 ancestors come from seven English counties, three Scottish, Tipperary and Hanover, Germany. I have just about given up trying to delve further back with my lines. I have identified eighteen of my line of sixty four and some of the links are a bit dubious. What I have been doing for the last six months or so is digging into Australian history as it applied to my family and putting some flesh on the bones. By the time I have finished my grandkids will have some interesting reading.The photo is of myself and my granddaughter Eloise. |
